Valorant aim routine: 20-minute sessions and deathmatches

A Valorant aim routine built from your benchmark: 20-minute sessions on your weak spots, 3 intensities, KovaaK's playlist codes and deathmatches every day.

The short answer

The EsportManager routine gives you KovaaK's sessions of 20 minutes every day, made of two 10-minute exercises, then Valorant deathmatches.[1] It is computed from your benchmark: the weakest subcategories come first.[2] It is free, and you need KovaaK's on PC, a paid game on Steam.[3]

You pick one intensity for the week: Challenger, Elite or Hardcore. That choice is final until Monday.[4]

The three intensities

Each intensity sets the number of sessions and deathmatches per day.[5]

Intensity Sessions per day Deathmatches per day KovaaK's per day
Challenger 1 10 20 minutes[5]
Elite 2 15 40 minutes[5]
Hardcore 3 20 60 minutes[5]

Over seven training days, that is 140 minutes of KovaaK's and 70 deathmatches in Challenger, 280 minutes and 105 deathmatches in Elite, 420 minutes and 140 deathmatches in Hardcore.[6] Intensity names are never translated.

How the routine is built

  1. Your weak spots first. A subcategory more than 30% below your best one becomes high priority, then medium beyond 15%.[2]
  2. A playlist for your level. The KovaaK's playlist code depends on your overall energy: Challenger below 400, Elite below 700, Hardcore after that. The codes are ready to copy in the routine.[7]
  3. Seven frozen days. When you lock your benchmark, each day gets its program, with exercise rotation and no duplicate within a day.[8]
  4. A streak. A day is completed when all sessions and deathmatches are done. The streak counts completed days in a row.[9]

The coach follows fixed rules and gives you three to five recommendations, including reminders when your consistency drops.[10]

Does it carry over to matches?

Nobody can promise it, and EsportManager does not measure transfer: you tick deathmatches off, their content is not analyzed.[11] The doubt is common. On vlr.gg, a player argues that one deathmatch is worth more than 15 minutes of a KovaaK's routine, and says he only has 15 minutes a day on top of one ranked match.[12] Another thread advises training every day you play rather than one day a week.[13]

The routine answers that doubt through its structure: the KovaaK's part trains one precise point, and the deathmatches act as a test under real conditions.[5] If time is short, Challenger fits in one session a day: see the page for busy players.

What the routine does not do

  • It does not teach game sense, crosshair placement or utility.
  • It does not replace a Range warm-up: it was not designed for that.
  • It does not generate without a benchmark: start with the benchmark.
  • It promises no rank.

Frequently asked questions

Does an aim routine help in matches?

Nobody can promise it, and EsportManager does not measure it.[11] Players doubt it: one vlr.gg thread argues that a deathmatch is worth more than 15 minutes of KovaaK's.[12] That is why the routine ends each day with deathmatches: you test in-game what you trained.[5]

How much time do I need per day?

In Challenger, 20 minutes of KovaaK's plus 10 deathmatches.[5] In Hardcore, 60 minutes plus 20 deathmatches.[6] Pick the intensity you can hold all week.[4]

Do I need KovaaK's to follow the routine?

Yes, the exercises are played in KovaaK's on PC.[3] KovaaK's is a paid game on Steam. Without it, you cannot follow the routine.

What is the streak?

The number of consecutive days where you finished every planned session and deathmatch.[9]

Is the routine the same for everyone?

No. It starts from your benchmark: the weakest subcategories come first.[2] The playlist code also depends on your overall energy.[7]
